Turkey Medical Tourism is not tourism and health, but it is tourism for health. Turkey ranks sixth in the world with 48 hospitals with standards and conditions (JCI). The global medical tourism market is expected to reach $179.6 billion in 2026. A record 45.1 million foreign visitors arrived in Turkey in 2019. The trend is more developed countries are seeking lower-cost with higher quality medical treatment and no waiting time. On the other hand, less developed countries are seeking higher quality medical treatment and enjoy lower-costs. The number of patients who were waiting to receive health services in the US before the pandemic was 4.4 million, it is predicted that this number will exceed 10 million by the end of 2021. Private and public hospitals in Turkey are at the level of European countries in terms of technological equipment and physical condition.
